細マッチョ (Hoso Macho) became quite a buzzword in Tokyo these days due to the Suntory Protein Water commercial. It’s used to describe a guy who is slim and well toned. Well, you can see examples in the commercial. The morning show today did a little feature on the word. They went out and asked Japanese girls if they preferred Gori Macho (ゴリマッチョ) or Hoso Macho. Most preferred Hoso Macho. Are you Hoso Macho? ^^.

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009Korean girl group Girls’ Generation singing their hit song Gee. I presume it’s a hit cause it’s still in my head. I suppose the tight jeans, heels and the provocative hip gyrations had something to do with it too! ^^.
If you didn’t understand what was being sung, not to worry, I found another version with the same provocative hip gyrations, but instead of jeans, they are in hot pants. AND some kind soul added in some English subtitles too.

This arrangement is dedicated to Sarah, my 7 year old daughter who loves the song Love Story by Taylor Swift. Because of a common rhythm element between the tunes, I decided I could mish/mash the two. My great friend Steven Sharp Nelson (cello percussion) really makes this tune.
