Climbing Mt. Fuji was, in a word, veryveryverytough. The view from the top though, simply spectacular. I’ve been meaning to make the climb ever since I came to Japan. Been meaning to do it for 5 years now. So why now? I went on the 8th night, a day after I submitted my doctoral dissertation. It felt like the perfect time, a now-or-never situation. And so, I went.

Picked up some supplies at the local convenience store. Should last me the night I hope. The night and a little breakfast. ^^.

Going to conquer Mt Fuji today! There’s where I want to be tomorrow morning for the sunrise! Pray with me for good weather. ^^. I went shopping with my climbing buddies last week. Want to take a look at some of the gear I bought?

Went looking for some hiking gear today at mont bell. Planning to climb Fuji san sometime in the very near future. ^^. I took a look at oxygen products. Figured I’ll probably just carry a can. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. But I just didn’t realize that it came in 3 different forms; solid, gaseous and liquid.
