I spoke of Nida eariler. Here she is! I notice a pattern. Whenever I'm free to take photos, it's more or less at night... or very early in the morning to be exact ^^. I have to try one out in the daytime! Maybe outdoors like gordonator. Anyway, following his advice, I tried out flickr. Then there was the problem of posting multiple photos... Copying the url of every photo is alittle, how should I put it... メンドウクサイ (mendoukusai). Or in more familiar terms, troublesome. An interesting thing with writing mendoukusai in Japanese Kanji.. 面倒臭い literally translate to "troublesome smell". Oh yeah. This reminds me... The word for dolphin in Japanese is イルカ. However, the Kanji is 海豚 (sea pig). Sure gives a whole new dimension to danny's version of dolphin ^^. Sidetracked a little. Anyway, while I was fiddling around trying to find an easy way to post multiple photos, ally dropped me a comment about PictoBrowser. It's pretty good. Easy to setup. All you need is a flickr account. However, it's flash. Don't know if it's a good thing or bad, but let's just see how it goes. Nida's my guinea pig ^^. So, what do you think of browsing Nida's pictures with PictoBrowser? The last picture's my favourite.

Sonsaku Hakufu (孫策 伯符)
I don't know if you're familiar with the anime Ikkitousen (一騎当千). But I find it a pretty interesting (maybe I should put pretty and interesting) rendition of the Romance of the 3 Kingdoms. This is their version of Sonsaku Hakufu (孫策 伯符). Not quite what you expect since he is historically male... but it's all good ^^.
Got this figure a while back. Just haven't found the time nor inspiration to take her out for a photo shoot. How do the photos look in the here? 18+ ^^? I think blogger does a bad job making a preview/thumbnail of the image (or maybe it's my fault?). Click on a photo and compare the original with the smaller preview version you see here. I find the colors slightly off. Any ideas anyone? Something to do with color profiles perhaps? I'm using Adobe RGB. If you do have any ideas why the colors are off in the preview version. Please please drop me a comment.
Anyway, I thought she would look good in a low light tatami room setting. A suggestive theme loaded with innuendoes. I had to wait for nighttime just because I have no curtains in the 和室 or Japanese-style room. What do you think?

For this last one, I desaturated it a little bit.

Fujiko spotted on the Shinkansen!
After ramen, guess who I spotted on the way home ^^.
My 新幹線 (shinkansen) home. Yamabiko (やまびこ). It's a double-decked version of a shinkansen. I was supposed to leave on a later train. Later and faster... But my companions wanted to leave earlier... so... you know the rest. Apparently if you have a reserved seat ticket, you can also use it to ride any other shinkansen with non-reserved seats. Gives you flexibility when traveling.
My crazy companions in Sendai.
It was pretty empty in the late afternoon about 4-ish. Guess everyone's still at work ^^.

Here's a little clip I took looking out the window from the shinkansen. Mixed in a little tunnel action too ^^.
Would you prefer to ride on top or be at the bottom ^^?

Lupin in 仙台!
Sendai here we come! Nothing, not even a typhoon nor 120mm of rain will get in our way.
Goemon waiting to catch his Shinkansen.
All black suits.
Comfortable seats on Shinkansen.
Fujiko looking hot as usual. Like pulling down that zipper will distract me from my work... urghh!
Lupin, why did you have to come along and chase Fujiko away?
The subway in Sendai sure looks spacious.
Ramen for lunch. No where famous. Just nearby.
Blue skies... weather seems to be clearing up.
Strong gusty winds bring more clouds overhead.
Good and bad weather, and lupin.
A cloud front.
Man, it's sure windy.
That's a nice looking Koban (交番).
From street level.
Data Masamune's everywhere!

Lupin Sighted!
Lupin the Third (ルパン三世) has been sighted! Rumor has it that he and his gang are headed off to 仙台 (Sendai) to steal the 牛タン (beef tongue) that it's famous for. It has also been overheard that Jigen wanted to drop by a famous 仙台ラーメン (Sendai ramen) shop. Goemon has also hinted that he would like to visit the Data Masamune statue at Sendai Castle. No sightings of Mine Fujiko yet. However, she is expected to be close by ^^. With typhoon number 4 approaching, it is expected to be raining cats and dogs for the next 2 days. I hope they won't forget their umbrellas!

Guyver
You guys know The Guyver? I was introduced to Guyver when I was a kid. Only watched the american movies then. Didn't know anything about anime and manga. I lusted for Guyver figures I always saw in display cases... those not for sale types. Just love the Guyver armor. Cool in a cyber ninja kinda way. Especially the blades that extend backwards from the forearm. Haven't seen any of those "not for sale figures" around lately, but did find this baby from Max Factory 2 years back. Back then, I had a small room and he stayed in his box most of the time. Once in a while I took him out and displayed him for a week or two. Then it's back to the box for him. What do you do with the boxes? Do you keep them or chuck them out? Some figures, I put them back into the box because I have no space to display them... Any good suggestions?

Guyver 2 Trailer. Just gotta love the voiceovers ^^.
Bio-Booster Armor Guyver. The opening theme from a recent remake of the anime. Quite recent. Might be able to find it at the local dvd shops *wink wink*.

Mishiro Akatsuki「美城暁」
My very first figure! シュラキ・トリニティBOX-01「美城暁」. This is a rather otaku-like post. Japan is probably the only country where you can find such detailed figures with big manga eyes. I thought I would take a dip into this area of subculture Japan; photographing figures... and along the way, collecting them ^^.
I don't know who she is, except that her name is Mishiro Akatsuki (美城 暁) and that she is part of the series Syuuraki (シュラキ). Btw, she's an original figure, not from any manga or anime (that I know of). Maybe from now on? The thing I like about her are her 2 Katanas. I'm a have a thing for katanas. If it's a figure and he/she is holding a katana, it peaks my interest. About the photos, you can take a look below. Just click on any for a bigger view. Check out the amount of detail on those katanas.... oh, and her as well ^^!
Ok, I didn't mean to, like, strip her and start firing away (I guess it's like baby photos. How many of you have embarrassing baby shots?), but it does show you the amount of detail the sculptors really get into. And that is real cool. I did take a little advantage and took some shots from a certain undesirable angle. It's all in the name of showing off detail ^^. She's not posable, but you can change her outfit (or not). There's the original sailor-type school uniform and the "battle-damaged" version of it. You can also mix and match to your liking. Katanas as well. She's supposed to hold the red katana in her left and the blue in her right. Although I kept it that way in my photos, I varied the way she held them. The first few photos show her holding the katanas "correctly", as she was intended to. Those towards the end are my variations. Which one do you like?
Usual price is ¥4800, but she's on sale right now. Going for about ¥3800. Check out other シュラキ figures here at Amazon, Japan. Get it while they last though. These things sell like hotcakes! She does look rather cute (可愛い、kawai) and cool (カッコイイ、kakkoii) at the same time doesn't she. Read up about her (in Japanese only, sorry). She's the first from a collection of figures released by Good Smile and Red Entertainment.
Although being my very first figure, she comes highly recommended!
