Odaiba Gundam 7

After a long day’s work, I went to Odaiba to check out the 1:1 giant life sized Gundam that’s being built in Odaiba. It’s really impressive. Will definitely be going back again when it officially opens. The Gundam is very detailed. Click here to see a giant version of this photo in flickr. You HAVE TO see the details on this life sized Gundam. You can just about read the words “Caution”, “Armor Lock” etc on its hot bod.

Thai Festival 2009 8

Went to the Thai festival in Yoyogi today. Man, was it crowded! It’s over this weekend so you still have Sunday tomorrow if you missed it today. As with all festivals in Japan, a festival is not a festival without the yakisoba and okonomiyaki stalls.

Love the new poster. After all, CGM night, it’s all about people. And tonight, there were lots and lots of people. Including some big announcements from Eye-fi, NHK World and our lovable Poken (available at a bic camera near you… maybe).

Japanese Graduations: Spring 2009

Spring! The bigger season for graduations! The other season being autumn of course. The majority of Japanese students graduate in March and start running the rat race in April. The usual attire for a Japanese graduation, suits for guys, kimono/hakama/suits for girls. Most girls come in Hakama, some in Kimono. I didn’t see any in their black suit. It’s probably just because I didn’t notice any. Was probably more attracted to bright colors. ^^. I really like the bright colors of the Hakama.
