Hi and welcome to my blog.
My name is Ken. I currently reside in Tokyo. This blog is mainly used to document my experiences in Japan – although I’ve been know to sneak in other content every now and then too. The photo above was taken when I scaled Mt Fuji – a day after I submitted my PhD dissertation.
I came to Japan under the Monbukagakusho Scholarship and spent 5 years earning my Masters and PhD degrees at Keio University.
During my time as a graduate student, I’ve had the privilege of attending and presenting at numerous domestic and international conferences. Never one to miss an opportunity to travel. I’ve also written a number of journal articles, conferences papers and book chapters. Some of my published articles -
- A human-like numerical technique for design of engineering systems
- Regularization for Parameter Identification Using Multi-Objective Optimization
- Fluid–shell structure interaction analysis by coupled particle and finite element method
In my free time, I like shooting photos and developing iOS applications.
Photo Mess has been pretty popular with over 5 million downloads. It has also been featured in magazines.
Some of my other applications include -
I usually develop apps that I want to use. For example, this was my inspiration for developing PapaMama.
In between working on my own applications, life and soaking in the ♨onsen♨, I also develop applications freelance.
If you would like to contact me for any reason at all, I’m ken(at)kenleewrites.com.
Thanks for stopping by.
