The Petronas Twin Towers are the world’s tallest twin buildings to date. They tower over almost everything and anything in KL.
The twin towers were featured in a few movies. The most notable of which was Entrapment. Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Remember that movie?
There’s a nice big pond right outside the park entrance. No fountains operating today…
The weather was superb! Clear days like this don’t come by often.
The building at the base of the twin towers houses a 6 storey shopping complex called Suria KLCC. Suria means sunshine.
Although there are lots of luxury brands at Suria, the shop that I frequent the most is the Kinokuniya book store. ^^.
There’s a nice play pool in the park for families and kids to cool off and have fun outdoors. You don’t see places like this in Tokyo… or Japan for that matter. And yes, it’s free and everyone brings their own swim gear.
It’s nice to see the Petronas Twin Towers behind some trees. Gives it a feeling that it’s out there towering over nowhere. ^^.
That skybridge connects both towers on the 41st and 42nd floors. It’s the highest 2-storey bridge in the world!
The skybridge on the 41st floor is open to the public, but there’s a fixed quota for daily visitors. Free tickets are issued every morning on a first come first served basis. Get there early for breakfast if you do not want to be disappointed!
Nope… no one climbing up the towers today. ^^.
I wonder what this guy is doing… He has a nice pair of jeans though.
Toilet fit for a King. For RM2, I bet you will never ever run out of toilet paper. ^^.
Small stalls along the walkways on the ground floor. They can be interesting… sometimes.
The interior was filled with lunar new year decorations. Alot of red.
Had lunch at concourse level at a Malay shop called La Cucur. It’s one of my favorite places to stop by for a nasi lemak, kuih and teh tarik.
Have you tried Malay kuih. It’s a local pastry. Sweet.
Right at the top of Suria is a discovery center called “Petrosains”. Been there once quite a while back. Quite a fun place to learn about the petroleum industry. Very much like the the Yebisu Beer Museum, minus the beer and more interactive.
Sad to say, I haven’t been up the Petronas Twin Towers… My next mission impossible.
Have you visited the Petronas Twin Towers?

Free tickets are cool, but it’s too bad they are limited. They should make it like the Tokyo Met. Gov. building and allow visitors to wait in line to go up!

Just to clear up something. Petronas twin towers is not the tallest tower to date but it’s Burj Khalifa in Dubai who hold the tallest tower in the world currently at a height of 828 meters while twin tower is 452 meters.
I never been up before if I do I don’t even have a good enough camera for me to do panoramic shots T_T
