There was a time when a 56.6k connection was considered to be lightning fast! See how much progress we’ve made since then. ^^.
I don’t mean to brag, but what speeds are you seeing where you live?
If you intend to give your connection to the internets a real speed test, use a LAN cable and plug your Mac directly to the modem.

Bwaaah, you meanie. We here (in Cyprus) have to pay 60 euros a month to get a 4mbit connection which most probably is bullshit anyway, at best it’s a 2mbit connection.

Holy schmack… 17? Now that’s good… back in Estonia we get 100mbit connection for €30 and I consider that cheap. But for 17? Daayuuumn!
Anyway, I started doing the speed test at home but the test gave up, the lag was just too much to handle.

Living in Sweden, got 19.5/9.5 on the test which is about what I pay for. I can get 100mbit if I want to from the same provider but I really don’t need it^^

Considering I am only paying C$20 a month without having to have a phone line with them, it is as cheap as I can find for “high speed” internet service in Vancouver. But man, Ken your pipe is big. Is internet typically that fast in an average home in Tokyo?
