Spotted some new Hello Kitty keitai (cell phone) straps at the local 7-11. Did you know that 7-11 is a subsidiary of Seven & I Holdings, a Japanese corporation?
Although she’s in various uniforms, the one I see everyday in the store is the maroon and pink colored shirt on the right. I don’t know if the other uniforms really do exist.
Btw, what do you call a female cat? I know one can call a male cat "tom", but what of a female cat?
I did a little googling and found out that you can call a female cat a "queen" once she hits puberty.
So, is Hello Kitty a queen?

Yeah, I was surprised when I learned that 7-11 was a Japanese company as well. Apparently it’s a recent thing, though, with the holding company only forming in 2005 when when 7-11 shifted ownership, or so says Wikipedia anyway. Personally I prefer Lawson and Family Mart (and really wish they’d try and expand in North America!).
