At Tsutaya today, I saw a poster that read "4 CDs for ¥1000". Something snapped inside and I just went.
"Time to work on my lounge collection".

Mount Tateshina
The road up Mount Tateshina begins here as we left the comfort of our abode. The last mountain I climbed was Mt. Fuji and that took many long and sweaty hours. Standing at just a little more than 1000m shorter than Mt. Fuji, from this elevation, Mt. Tateshina didn’t look like it’ll be that much easier to conquer.

Tateshina
So last weekend, I was out in the Japanese countryside (Nagano) with my research lab. It was a long weekend and we had plans to do sports Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We stayed over at the university lodge in Tateshina.

Back in Tokyo
Just arrived back home from a weekend of sports in Nagano. Was disconnected for most of the trip. Did I miss out on anything last weekend?
Our research group spent the whole long weekend out in the countryside playing basketball, tennis, badminton, volleyball, orienteering, softball, table tennis etc in the day. At night, it was all bodacious drinking and merry making.
I climbed another mountain during the trip too. At 2530m, it’s not as high as Mt. Fuji, but still very tough to climb.
Will blog and have photos up later when I’ve unpacked and properly rested. ^^.

Reiko Kiuchi
Met illustrator Reiko Kiuchi two nights ago. Was on a secret mission with the Tokyo Stormtrooper in Omotesando when she pointed him out! It’s always an adventure when you’re on secret missions with him. ^^.
