Infinite Gratification

Tags:

infinite プチプチ

Like bursting bubble warp? This little device is like an infinitely long sheet of bubble wrap. Use infinite プチプチ (puchi puchi) long enough and your thumb goes numb. ^^. Puchi puchi, as you’ve guessed, is a Japanese onomatopoeia.

infinite エダマメ

If bursting bubble wrap isn’t your thing, how about squeezing エダマメ (edamame, Japanese green peas)? You can use this tool to practice your finger squeezing technique before you go on a 飲み会 (nomikai, drinking party) with your Japanese mates. Wow them with your fantastic technique!

infinite ペリペリ

Bandai is pretty good at creating these little things that prey on our tendencies. This is something new. A 007 version of ペリペリ (peri peri). Can you guess what it’s supposed to simulate? ^^.

infinite 缶ビール、ソーダ

There are two versions here. The beer version to make it interesting for adults and the soda version for kids. I wonder if the device generates the carbonated sizzle when you pop open the can too.

The thing with these gadgets, there is no sample lying around for you to try it out. You have to take the plunge and buy it if you want to know how good it’ll make you feel. Not sure if you’ll cry tears of joy like how it’s advertised. I bought プチプチ a while ago when it was first released. It was good… until my thumbs started getting tired from all the pressing. ^^.

I can think of a social experiment: put someone in a waiting room with a couple of these things while they wait for their job interviews and see what they do with them when their expected interviewing time has come and gone…. now I want some of these things….

i bought puchi puchi when it first came out but i was dissapointed. it was nothing like the real thing, no real ‘pop’.. but it did entertain me for some time..
