Dissertation stand alone test

Picked up my dissertation which I sent for binding earlier this week. Just FYI, the Japanese word for binding is 製本 (seihon). Will be submitting it in today. I was told that all engineering dissertations had to pass the unofficial “stand alone” test before it could be recognized. Although mine looks a little sender, it has no problems standing on it’s own. ^^. Woo hoo!

Nothing special, really. Work has been keeping me fairly busy so I’m taking it easy this weekend. Was going to climb Mt. Fuji this month but as you’re doing it now I think I’ll just look at your photos and pretend that I was there!

about 150 pages. i suppose there is a physical limit to the number of pages you need for binding. you need a thick enough spine for them to carve your name out in gold. ^^.
