In need of a boost, I went straight to a nearby iekei ramen parlor. The creamy tonkotsu broth with lots of garlic and ginger should provide me with enough to last through the night. ^^

Most iekei ramen places I know of and frequent already start serving a free bowl of rice with every bowl of ramen. At some places, you can even get rice refills. 銀家 (gin-ya) is one such place. Ramen has never been cheaper. Perfect when I need a little pick me up. ^^.

This Ie-kei ramen looks like my favorite type – thick, opaque and greasy soup. Just this picture makes me hungry even in the morning. (The all-you-can-eat rice option is obviously for students!)
