Every ramen eater’s worst nightmare
This is the worst! 最低だ! Every ramen eater’s worst nightname is having his/her spoon slip into the soup. Appetite just flies out the window when treated to this sorrowful sight.
Dave dropped by to visit this weekend on his way to the UK. I brought him to yoshimura-ya for some good old fashion iekei ramen. What better way to start your weekend in Japan than having a piece of ramen history. ^^.
Had a regular portion the last time I visit yoshimura-ya, so I thought I’ll just up one size tonight. 中大盛 (cyuu mori). MAN WAS IT HUGE! I can’t imagine what 大盛 (oomori) would have felt like when it’s in me tummy. The slice of char siew (roast pork) was just as delicious as I remembered. This is probably one of the best ramen char siew in my book. Smokey on the first bite, but pure bliss when the smoke passes.
We spent hours catching up over a variety of Japanese beers, 2 of which are limited production beers. Care to take a guess? ^^.

I’m gonna take a wild guess and say the Yebisu and the Sapporo ones. Yebisu because the can says 2009 and Sapporo because I’ve never seen a Sapporo beer with that design^^
