Black Ship Burger
Recently had this really good Kurofune Burger at Hard Rock Cafe. The black buns in the “Kurofune” are a reference to the coal-powered American vessels of old that brought Commodore Perry to Japan. He landed at Yokosuka and negotiated a trade treaty with Japan, thus ending over 200 years of isolation. I haven’t been there yet, but am looking forward to visiting it soon.
If not for the warships stationed at the American base there, then at least for the sukajan-s I might be able to get there.
More about the special limited burger. For ¥1859, it’s quite alot to eat. Only available at Hard Rock Yokohama. It’s their own little way to commemorate 150 years since the opening of Yokohama Port.
Are you “Tomato Sauce”, “Tomato Ketchup” or “Ketchup”? I usually just go with sweet blood sauce.
The onion rings were pretty tasty too. From the diameter of the rings, the onions must have been huge! I think they only use the middle section of the onion. The upper and lower sections probably get chopped up and find their way into other foods.
Anybody wants a Hello Kitty Hard Rock t-shirt?
More Hard Rock x Hello Kitty collectibles. Now why isn’t Dear Daniel just as popular? ^^.
What’s on your lunch/dinner menu tonight?
