Miss Universe Japan 2009: Emily Miyasaka

oooo. We have a Miss Universe Japan 2009 as of today! Congratulations Emily Miyasaka. Her name is read 宮坂(Miyasaka) 絵美里(Emiri) in Japanese. Family names first over here. Don’t you just like it how Japanese names can be written to look and sound like English names? ^^.

I don’t know much about her except that she’s a sweet 24. Maybe I should find out more. ^^. Didn’t really follow the competition all that much this year. Think I missed last year’s competition too! The only Miss Universe Japan I remember is Ryo Mori (森 理世)… and she was Miss Universe Japan in 2007! Where did my 2008 go…

I thought Marie Ooyama was going to win but Emiri Miyasaka was the deserved winner, she had the style and class.
