Japanese Stimulus Handout

May 17th, 2009

Stimulus 1

So… I’ve received the forms for the cash handout program that the Japanese government has implemented. Although I thought that abolishing GST for 6 months might have a bigger effect, I’m not complaining. Supplementary income payments, in 6 languages no less!

Stimulus 2

For those of us who wish to decline the handout, tick the box and cross out the amount in red. A double confirmation.

Stimulus 3

4 month long application period. Pretty long. I reckon all forms would be submitted within the first week of receipt.

Stimulus 6

I was very amazed to find English explanations. Figured it’ll only come in Japanese, like tax forms.

Stimulus 4

A little more info here about declining the payment. Anyone eligible planning on declining?

Stimulus 5

There were also English instructions on how to fill the form. If you’re 18 or younger, or 65 and above, you’ll get a whooping ¥20,000. Others inbetween like me, ¥12,000. Good enough for a month’s worth of phone and internet bills with leftover for ramen. ^^.

Stimulus 7

Support your local goods. Buy Kawasaki campaign.

Stimulus 8

A list of stores. Please support Kawasaki’s local goods. ^^.
