Another day, another iekei ramen (家系ラーメン). Musashi-ya is also popular with the students here at Keio. Not only that, it is quite famous among the ramen connoisseurs too. Bottomless rice comes on the house with any bowl. Oily tonkotsu-syouyu flavored. That’s my kind of ramen. ^^.
The shop entrance proudly reads Yokohama Ramen Musashi-ya. See the long queue?
Writing on the wall. How’s your Japanese? ^^.
Some ramen shops come with manga for you to read while waiting and sneak into your bag to bring home… if you’re into manga with strong ramen odor. ^^.
¥600 for a regular bowl of Musashi-ya ramen. Not a bad price considering you’ll get rice too.
Pretty average counter. There’s the menu again. Just in case you missed something.
The regular toppings. Pepper, garlic, ginger, chilli paste (豆板醤, tobanjyan).
You see mostly guys, but trust me, there were girls too… sitting right near the entrance.
Yummy. Vege, oily soup, thick noodles, a slice of pork, seaweed and the blue colored bowl. For iekei ramen, that’s as basic as you can get.
Digg in. ^^.

The ramen looks nice but having it oily is horrible. I’m alergic to oily foods. Too bad.

The menu is easier to understand than that writing, that’s for sure.

Just tried it yesterday with my friend. Quite good, but I think I ordered too much

There was no queue though, I guess we were lucky. There is a trick that you can get a free egg if you bring a pendant chain. My friend got it, I didn’t
