Will be home to catch this program on TV tonight. The pilot special of 必殺仕事人 hissatsu shigotonin. I’m a little stumped on the translation. Don’t think “assassins” is a suitable word since it has its own term in Japanese, 暗殺者 ansatsusya. Not a language major, but if we breakdown the compounds… 必殺 is like “definitely have to kill” or deadly and 仕事人 is a working person. I suppose hissatsu shigotonin is like a glorified assassin, a deadly worker. ^^.
Looking forward to following it in the weeks to come if it’s good. Took this photo in Shibuya station. The show is a remake of an old and famous series… started in 1972! Hence the 2009. 31st season this year. What are you looking forward to on TV this year?
