Fatty tuna

January 17th, 2009

Yummy 中とろ (cyuutoro). Medium-grade fatty tuna. Not the fattiest portion of the tuna’s belly, but still so soft it melts in your mouth…. mmmmm… See all the white streaks of yummy goodness? ^^. This plate was going for ¥250 at the local 回転寿司 (kaiten sushi) sushi train. When was the last time you had one?

Grades of raw fish have slipped my mind ever since I watched the video about them.
However I did have 77yen a plate for sushi train at Kyoto Station. They had the cool warm water taps, where you would push your cup against the button for the water to come out above it. Maybe other sushi shops had this =/
