Shibuya #2
How about another look see around Shibuya? Took these photos around the time I went for the vegetarian fair. First pic. I don’t know who he is, but I would like to know his pickup line for getting cute girls to pose for him. Wondering if its something along the lines of “I’m a photographer for so and so magazine”… maybe he is a photographer for so and so magazine! Short skirts and mid length boots… ^^.
Anyone attended the 21st Tokyo International Film Festival? I didn’t make it to the 21st. I’m hoping, however, to make it for the 22nd!
Walking across the junction is always a joy. ^^. I took a video once. Occasionally I like to snap a few photos whenever I get a chance to walk across it with camera in hand. Wondering if people actually notice me taking photos. The old guy on the left seemed to notice.
The guy in stripes seemed to notice too.
I almost got away here too if not for the guy high up looking down on me. ^^.
There are a few other smaller “walk anywhere you want” crossings in Shibuya.
Waited at this junction for a bit. Wanted a shot where there was no traffic. Does it make Shibuya look empty?
Many sky bridges for walking from one wing of Seibu to the next. Women’s here, men’s there.
Funky small car. Love how it’s all spec-ed out.
C.C. Lemon hall.
Do you like korean food? I found this little hideaway near Tokyu Hands. Cosy and the food is pretty good. 韓国の家庭料理 = Homemake Korean Food.
Sorry I didn’t turn it around, but here’s a sneak peak of their menu.
Free kimchi and stuff.
You can take as much as you want, as many times as you want. ^^.
This is … Sundobu I think. It’s a soup with tofu, kimchi, egg etc. Lots of tofu. Supposed to be good for maintaining a silky smooth complexion. ^^.
I had Burugogi Ishi Yaki (Beef on a hot stone plate).
It was yummy. ^^.
I wonder when Koreans started using stainless steel utensils. Chopsticks, spoons and the rice bowl are all made from stainless steel. Stainless steel chopsticks can be a little heavy if you’re not used to it. Korean chopsticks have another distinguishing characteristic. They are thin and flat. Also need a little getting used to. They do make great souvenirs though. You might want to try the local supermarket instead of the airport when shopping for chopsticks in Korea. ^^.
More free kimchi!
Just some ambience photos of the place.
A pretty nice place for a date I might add.
Or just hanging out with the family.
This is an interesting Timberland ad. It’s just missing an Apple. ^^.
Took a walk to this place for some dessert. I don’t mind traveling a little for good food. ^^. This shop specializes in fresh milk soft cones. こだわり牛乳生アイス専門店白一.
They only sell a fixed amount of ice cream per day too (一日数量限定). Getting off work comes when they’re sold out. Reminds me of some ramen and hokkien mee stalls I know.
Only 5 things on the menu. Not cheap, but really good.
The friendly girl behind the counter does her best to give you as much as she can. ^^.
A little perspective so you know how tall a soft cone from this place is. Sure taller from those from maccas anyday!
BEAMS is the place to go for some slick looking Tokyo street fashion. It’s a little pricey, but which select shop isn’t?
I thought this guy was real!
This has got to be the tallest vending machine I have come against in Tokyo! Takes just that extra bit of effort to buy a coke.
Found this new store called Rag Tag. Rag Tag specializes in second-hand branded stuff; they trade too. Don’t expect it to be dirt cheap just because it’s second hand though. If you’re in need of some coin and haven’t worn that Prada shirt in a while…
They have a very strange display case though…
What’s with all the leg wrapping? ^^.
