Invigilating an exam for the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers today.
The first exam in the morning runs for 2 hours; 1000-1200. There’s a second exam in the afternoon.
Do you like exams? The last exam I took was my medical exam. ^^. Haven’t taken any academic exams for almost 4 years now. There was the JLPT test last week. Did anyone take it?
I took JLPT 4 about 6 years ago. Had to take general elective courses when I was still doing my bachelors in Sydney. Some of the more interesting classes I enrolled in were Psychology and Psychobiology courses. Especially when one particular Psychobiology course was on Sex, Love and Attraction. Which young hot-blooded male wouldn’t be interested in that topic. ^^. There were girls in the class too btw!
I also took Japanese 101 for about 6 months. At the end of that basic course, I though I could just try out for the JLPT 4. I thought, “It couldn’t be more difficult than the course finals”. So, without much preparation, I just signed up and went. I was sadly mistaken though. Have vague memories of finding the test to be rather difficult. But somehow, I managed to pass. なんとなくね。 Felt rather glad not wasting the exam fee. After that course and the test, I kinda dropped studying Japanese altogether. Didn’t need any more credits and was occupied with… other stuff. ^^. A year later, I found myself in Japan. Ended up having to learn Japanese from scratch again.
Anyway, I should really get back to invigilating. Of course I’m not invigilating right now, not my shift yet. Would be pretty irresponsible of me to be blogging while invigilating wouldn’t it. ^^. In case you’re wondering, the picture below was taken before the exam started.
Do you have any exams left in 2008?

I took JLPT Level 3 last week. Took it at NSW Uni in one of the big allocated teaching spaces, with all the lecture chairs, 3 projector screens and projectors. 100people in my room. Our CD for listening kinda stopped during a question =/ but we still managed to get it working again.
Finished my first set of assessments for final year of high school. I did alright in them.
Sure you can blog while invigilating! Just make sure no one sees you doing it!

I have not even taken a single JLPT lol. My exams nowadays are fast, and I usually finish them fast. I know if I cannot do a question, it means I cannot do it, maybe I might go back to it later, give it a second try, but I tend not to waste time in exams. I usually finish so fast I either have time to sleep or get up early to leave.
