Ever wondered what campus food looks like in a Japanese university?
These are some of the typical dishes you can find in the cafeteria. I can proudly say that I’ve eaten every dish you see here; I did not just run around the cafeteria taking photos of what others were eating… no… that would be cheating. ^^.
I try to have something different everyday. But when some limited-time-only yummy dish comes along, it’s difficult to choose anything else!
I can’t speak for every university in Japan, but I think they generally look… maybe taste the same too. ^^. Where do you have lunch everyday?

I only tried the food at one of Waseda’s canteens and oh man, the food was awesome. I could eat there every day! Doesn’t help that the food is very reasonably priced too! >w< I looooooove Japanese campus food.

those in the pictures, an average of ¥300-600. really depends on what you pick.

I used to work at a university when I first came to Japan and the food was abysmal. I half expected my lunch to quietly slither off its plate and devour an unsuspecting Chihuahua when my back was turned.
