I survived!
Or rather my posts survived the move! I lost one post though… Jin-Roh somehow decided to pull a David Copperfield on me. But he’s back and I think it’s all good. Have to iron out some quirks though, but I’ll do it as I go along. First or all, the YouTube videos which I’ve embedded aren’t here. Links to other entries are also somewhat broken. In Blogger, URLs ended with a “.html”; over here in WordPress, it ends with just a “/”. So… here I am, using wordpress. I’ll write about why I decided to move a little later. It’s 2.45am in the morning… was waiting for bluehost to verify my move. Any friendly words of advice from the veteran wordpressers out there?
Anyway, to all my readers, またよろしくお願いします!

Yes. Any images you uploaded to Blogger are going to be removed if you delete all old posts, so they will not show up here in the new blog. You have to edit all the posts to put them back in manually. It will also clean up the code that way, since Blogger uses very messy code. Tedious but probably necessary in the long run.
Also add (!more) tags. The ones done in the HTML area is without spacing. These will help a lot, you can show more posts in the front page and it will look neater. Adding them to old posts also make it neater when visitors search for old stuff, which is why I am going through all my old posts (230 wtfux) to add tags and clean up code. Helps visitors and search engines.

it’s going to take a while to tag up the older posts. ><

Wordpress rocks. I have always been using a wordpress platform for my blogs so I kinda love it ^_^. And thanks for linking. I will link soon. Need to work on my blogroll page ^^”"
Yes reorganizing is good, use tags and categories. tags can be more personal while your categories can be in general, like “Figurines” and as for tags you can use Alter/GSC, etc. Good for search if going through the site. ^_^.

“In Blogger, URLs ended with a “.html”; over here in WordPress, it ends with just a “/”.” fixed this with permalinks. phew… permalinks rock!

Maybe you can share some of the pluses and minuses of using Wordpress compared to Blogger, and what made you decide to move ?

wordpress always is definitely way better. the nicer neater comment layout and easy-to-do expandable summary is alway a WIN.
but wordpress has problems with “Categories”. not sure u have it or not but if u click on a categories under a post say “anime” instead of showing u all your posts tagged with “anime” it will show u all wprdpress posts tagged with “anime”. the Categories on the right panel works fine.

yeah… i’m still a little fazed by the whole tag thing. if it shows all wordpress tags, thats good right? exposes your blog when others click on someone else’s tags. for just blog post organization, i’m thinking categories and sub-categories would be more than sufficient. you?
