Jin-Roh

Protect Gear 019

Here’s my second Revoltech! My first was the purplish EVA01.

If you’ve seen Jin-Roh, then you probably would recognize this suit of armor, the Protect Gear. Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade or simply Jin-Roh (人狼) is a 9 year old animated movie. I think I saw it in 2000 or 2001. The story’s dark, but it’s quite the animated movie. Not really for kids because there the themes in the movie are rather deep, even though Jin-Roh borrows heavily from the tale of Little Red Riding Hood (the darker version, yes, there are 2 versions).

Here are the box and the contents in the box.

They don’t call it the “red spectacles edition” for nothing. Red googles. Cool stuff. Makes it all look scary.

Protect Gear 004

I bought this from the revoltech store in Akihabara. It must have been my lucky day because they gave me some freebies too! Revoplier, extra joints and 2 Kaiyodo stickers. ^^

The Mauser C96 up close and personal. Except for the plastic look, you gotta admit, that’s some good detail on such a small item.

“Arise Dark Lord”

Protect Gear 005

“What is thy bidding Master?”

Protect Gear 017

I first saw this figure when I was at wonfes08. It has great detail and looks really cool. I like the way the Mauser C96 fits under the shield on the left hand. The gun holstered on the right hip is not removable. Neither is backpack. One thing I don’t understand about this figure though, it appears that he has something that resembles a calculator on his chest (on the left). Does it look like a calculator to you? ^^.

Do you have a Revoltech? And if so, which one and what made you buy it?
