Today’s stroll is through Shibuya. Sometimes I cringe at the thought of going to Shibuya. It’s swarmed with hordes of people and navigating through the crowd sometimes require the nimble reflexes of a Jedi pilot. I usually only go to Shibuya for 3 main reasons; for the Apple Store, Tokyu Hands (which is a great DIY shop) and Loft. Other reasons for heading to Shibuya usually include some form of social activity such as showing friends visiting Japan around, meeting friends up for food and drinks.
ABC-mart, a whole complex full of shoes/sneakers for those of you who just like to try on new shoes.
Sometimes if you’re lucky, you get to eat fresh pastry which they hand out for free…. only if you’re very lucky. Hasn’t happened to me yet, but there’s no harm in wishful thinking. ^^
It’s required by law in Japan to have big stairways that allow for quick escape in the case of any incidents… or you can just use them to sneak out for a short break. ^^.
I can’t go right (it says 止まれ tomare, which means stop), so I’ll go left.
You can still find old Japanese houses like these in Shibuya. It doesn’t blend in with the surroundings, but it does add a rustic flavour to the big city.
Would you like to have your office situation in this neat building?

Is the rent in Shibuya considered expensive? Which district would be most kind to one with little ¥en?
