A very well researched essay, I feel that I have learned a few things that I have not been able to before.
I find the mannerisms of Japanese society to be very admirable, be it past or present generations. There is a problem with workingwoman returning to work after caring for their family, I believe.

Due to a lack of parental comfort and intimacy, children tend to abandon the teachings of their parents as a result. The blame is not really on the parent, as caring for a child, being a both a wife and mother... is a challenge that is often overlooked.

The whole essay feels so, academic. But yeah, you actually pointed out the sources.

Still, where the future of Japanese women is concerned, it does seem as though more and more, they are breaking with tradition. The wives of the future will be born in our time, if they already are not, and this is going to be show really fast through the years when you consider generation gaps nowadays to be less than 10 years on the average.
