Fuji-san from an airplane window

May 14th, 2008

Ever wondered what Mt. Fuji looks like from an airplane window? There was a time when I was flying domestic. The weather was good, the sky was clear and I happened to be on the right side of the plane. Out popped the camera and “ka cha” went the shutter. I don’t know about you, but being able to get a good shot of majestic Fuji-san isn’t something that happens to me everytime I fly. Most times I don’t get to see it at all due to clouds and, you know, being on the wrong side of the plane. Not to mention if I was flying at night. Sure, I could always leave my seat and check out the view from the emergency doors… but some passengers (I guess just me) get fidgety when they see people crowding around the emergency door. There’s always this scene in my head where someone would accidentally open the door. Yeap. I worry too much. When has an incident like that actually happened?
